    I've had very mixed experiences at this branch. Sometimes I get great, friendly staff and other times they treat me like I'm some young scam artist. For example: I have 2 business accounts and a personal account with RBC. For one of my businesses, we do a lot of US dollar transactions online so we have a US Chase bank account. Once and a while, when we need to make a transfer, I drive up to Port Huron, MI, go into the Chase branch and get a cashier's check (bank draft) and deposit it into our RBC account. We did a $18,000 USD deposit via cashier's check a month ago and there was no hold put on it. There was never any issues, it went through and we were all good. This time however, I believe the teller thought I was a scam artist (I look too young to be a business owner. I look 18 but I'm 28). She said she would have to put a 14 day hold on it. I drove all the way to Port Huron to get a cashier's check so they wouldn't put a hold on it otherwise I would have written a regular check. I told her that last time we had a much larger deposit and there was never a hold placed. This time was only $5000 and she wanted to put a 14-day hold on it. She went to the manager (in a separate room) to fill her in. I'm assuming she was saying "this customer seems sketchy. He wants us to lift the hold." She comes out and says she must put a hold on it. I again explained my situation, showed her my Chase online banking to show her the $5000 was already taken out of my account along with our (very large USD balance) and she still wasn't going to lift the hold. I left really upset and felt like they just discriminated against me because I was wearing a toque and looked young. Anyways, I took the cashier's check and went to the branch on Fanshawe and Adelaide. They didn't even think twice about putting a hold on it. The funds were immediately available and they were very friendly and were very supportive and interested in my business. I'll never go back to this branch that treated me like a scam artist. I've been making cash deposits for my other business at this branch every two weeks for 2 years and they still treated me like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. The manager was a blonde, middle-aged woman. I wish I got her name.
